Shift of positions on the Romanian MBA market

Ziarul Financiar, one of the most prestigious media institutions, has been keeping close watch over managerial education programs for many years now, and in the past nine years they have been the only ones to rank MBA programs in Romania.

Out of approximately 200 students who completed an MBA program in 2015, 140 contributed to the ranking; the programs they graduated from were the following: EMBA Asebuss, EMBA Tiffin University, EMBA Wu Executive Academy, Inde MBA – ASE (the Bucharest University of Economic Studies), Romanian – Canadian MBA ASE, Romanian – German MBA – ASE and MBA Asebuss. However, some of them did not gather enough responses, while others declared they did not want to be part of the ranking.

Consequently, the vast majority of the 140 graduates who agreed to take part in the ZF survey stated that the EMBA program offered by Tiffin University was the best in Romania. With an average of 4.91 out of 5.00, Tiffin thus overtook Wu Executive Academy, which ranked first in 2014 and 2015; second came the EMBA program at Asebuss with 4.66 points and the Inde MBA – ASE with 4.12 points.

The final ranking was made based on the average points the programs obtained for the 9 areas which were analyzed: networking, course quality, quality of teaching, professors’ experience, the capacity to improve management skills, the capacity to improve personal qualities, logistics, on-the-job applicability and the international component. These areas were given scores from 1 to 5, with 1 meaning weak and 5 excellent.

This ranking certifies the fact that the MBA offered by Tiffin University stands out among similar programs, as it provides more than theoretical guidance and deals with concrete, practical situations as well. All of these factors, together with the expertise of internationally acknowledged professionals and the presence of American professors who demonstrate full commitment and share their experience with their students, seem to be the key to the program’s leading position.

In the future, Tiffin University aims to constantly come up with new offers on the Romanian market, as confirmed by Roxana Farrugia, the Director of the Tiffin Executive MBA Program: “Tiffin Executive is a success story validated over the years by our students and graduates, who contributed as much as the program’s professors to developing and increasing the quality of the business environment, both in Romania and abroad.”

Moreover, Tiffin University imposes a rigorous selection of its students, so that the level of the classes should be as competitive and exclusive as possible in this segment.
